The TCW Group, a leading global investment firm, today announced the completion of the conversion of the TCW MetWest Sustainable Securitized Fund into the TCW Securitized Income ETF (NYSE Arca: TIZE), bringing the strategy to investors through an actively managed ETF structure. The launch expands access to one of TCW’s longstanding fixed income capabilities through a dedicated securitized income solution.
TIZE expands TCW’s active ETF platform with a dedicated multi-sector securitized income strategy that seeks to provide investors with access to opportunities across the more than $15 trillion securitized market. The ETF is designed as a broad securitized income solution, allowing the portfolio management team to pursue opportunities across sectors while maintaining the fundamental research-driven investment process that has long underpinned TCW’s securitized investing platform. The broader mandate provides greater flexibility to identify relative value opportunities across securitized sectors as market conditions evolve.
TIZE combines TCW’s deep fundamental credit research with active sector allocation to identify relative value opportunities as market conditions evolve, investing across residential mortgage-backed securities (RMBS), commercial mortgage-backed securities (CMBS), asset-backed securities (ABS), collateralized loan obligations (CLOs), and other securitized sectors.
“Securitized credit can provide investors with differentiated sources of income beyond traditional corporate and government bonds,” said Bryan T. Whalen, CFA, Chief Investment Officer and Head of Fixed Income at TCW. “TIZE gives investors access to a broad and often overlooked segment of the fixed income market through an actively managed approach designed to adapt as opportunities shift across sectors.”
TCW has invested in securitized markets since 1989 and manages approximately $72 billion1 in securitized assets. Supported by more than 30 dedicated securitized investment professionals and the broader global fixed income platform, the team applies credit underwriting, structural analysis, and active sector allocation across a broad opportunity set.
“The conversion reflects our commitment to providing investors with choice in how they access TCW’s investment capabilities,” said Scott Dennis, Head of ETFs at TCW. “TIZE brings our securitized expertise to investors through an ETF structure while maintaining the active, research-driven approach that has long defined the strategy.”
TIZE joins TCW’s growing suite of actively managed ETFs, further expanding the firm’s fixed income ETF offerings for investors seeking active, research-driven exposure.
