FORT WASHINGTON, Pa., Sept. 2, 2026
FORT WASHINGTON, Pa., Sept. 2, 2026 /PRNewswire/ — Patriot Growth Insurance Services, LLC (Patriot), one of the largest and fastest-growing national insurance brokerage firms in the United States, today announced the appointment of Michael “Mike” Christian, founder and former Chief Executive Officer of Risk Strategies, to its Board of Directors.
Christian brings more than four decades of insurance industry experience and a proven track record of building and leading a national brokerage organization. He founded Risk Strategies in 1997 and served as CEO for 22 years, helping build the company from a startup into one of the nation’s leading specialty insurance brokerages. Throughout his tenure, Christian led the company’s business and growth strategy, mergers and acquisitions, talent recruitment, and client service approach.
“Mike has a rare combination of deep industry expertise, entrepreneurial experience, and a firsthand understanding of what it takes to build a successful national brokerage,” said John Galaviz, Chief Executive Officer of Patriot. “His success bringing businesses together, building specialized capabilities, driving growth, and investing in great people is incredibly relevant to where Patriot is today and where we are headed. We are fortunate to have his perspective on our Board as we continue building the next chapter of Patriot.”
Christian began his insurance career as an underwriter in California before holding senior leadership positions at Alexander & Alexander and Jardine Insurance Brokers. In 1997, he founded Risk Strategies with a vision of creating a client-focused organization built around specialized expertise, collaboration and strong talent. Under his leadership, the firm expanded its national footprint and developed a broad portfolio of specialty practices.
Christian was inducted into the Insurance Business America Hall of Fame in 2020 and was named the Insurance Library’s 2025 Insurance Professional of the Year in recognition of his contributions to the insurance industry.
“Patriot has built a strong foundation and has a tremendous opportunity ahead,” said Christian. “I am looking forward to working with John, the leadership team, and fellow Board members to help the organization capitalize on its strengths and create long-term value for its clients and employees.”
