CHANHASSEN, Minn., Aug. 27, 2026 /PRNewswire/ — As more people look for smarter, efficient ways to train for metabolic health, strength and longevityLife Time (NYSE: LTH), the nation’s premier healthy lifestyle brand, is expanding Ultra Fit, its high-intensity Signature Group Training format created by Founder, Chairman and CEO Bahram Akradi, with more than 200 newly certified coaches and new classes across its more than 195 athletic country clubs.

Built to integrate sprint interval training, strength, stability and balance, Ultra Fit simultaneously challenges the body’s cardiovascular, musculoskeletal and neurological systems. This expansion reflects a long-standing approach at Life Time, which develops and scales formats rooted in proven science and member demand, not short-lived fitness trends.

Life Time’s athletic country clubs are intentionally designed with flexible studio and floor space so programming can evolve to accommodate new formats, allowing the company to scale formats quickly. Created in 2022 ahead of the current wave of demand for sprint interval training, Ultra Fit is the latest example, joining a broader programming portfolio that includes Alpha, GTX, CTR and HYBRID XT.

Sprint Interval Training (SIT) continues to gain attention as a time-efficient approach for people seeking measurable results. Research demonstrates that compared to Moderate Intensity Continuous Training (MICT), SIT is a superior method for fat loss, and can improve VO2 max (cardiorespiratory fitness) to the same extent as MICT, but in one-fifth of the time.

During an Ultra Fit class, a certified coach guides members through a progression of treadmill-based intervals, strength, stability, balance and agility work using equipment such as BOSU balls, bands and dumbbells. Efforts vary from three-minute intervals to 15-second all-out bursts, with coached recovery between rounds and heart rate and cadence guidance to help members know when to push, when to recover and how each segment fits into the workout.

“Ultra Fit is one of our most athletically challenging training formats, and we’re seeing strong interest from members who are training for a specific goal as well as those focused on long-term health and longevity,” said Nastassia Smith, Vice President of Group Training and Studio at Life Time. “The combination of sprint intervals, strength, stability and recovery supports metabolic health, healthy aging and athletic performance, making it an incredibly effective workout to add to your routine once or twice a week.”

Members can find class schedules and reserve an Ultra Fit class through the Life Time app.
