Two Very Different Sisters Join Forces to Solve the Disappearance of a Museum Curator, and a Caravaggio Sketch, in an International Mystery
SAN DIEGO, CA, UNITED STATES, August 18, 2026 /EINPresswire.com/ — Sibylline Press announces the release of Sisters at an Exhibition: A Zara and Lilly Mystery by Claudia Hagadus Long, a fast-paced mystery introducing two very different sister sleuths whose investigation into a missing museum curator soon leads them into a dangerous international web involving art, crime, family secrets and a World War II-era journal. Sisters at an Exhibition is available now wherever books are sold.
Zara, lawyerly and just a little cynical, teams up with her older sister, Lilly, when a Caravaggio sketch and its curator both go missing from a San Francisco museum. Lilly’s never met a man—or a scam—she didn’t at least wink at. Meticulous Zara discovers that a major museum donor who was dating the missing curator turns out to be a handsome, wealthy criminal. That’s all Lilly needs to hear before she’s all in to join the chase. Threaded through this modern-day mystery are flashbacks to a journal kept during World War II by the father of one of Lilly’s many boyfriends. The search moves from San Francisco to New York City to an old barn in Alsace, France, where the curator and the Caravaggio may, or may not, be hiding.
“Sisters at an Exhibition delivers an intriguing art theft with international intrigue and unexpected twists along with plenty of humor and heart,” said Vicki DeArmon, Publisher of Sibylline Press. “Claudia Hagadus Long has created two unforgettable sister sleuths of a certain age and we’re thrilled to bring Zara and Lilly to Sibylline readers.”
