The donation is paired with Thanksgiving-themed livestreams, festive in-app virtual gifts, weekly Giving Battles and a live donation tracker to connect and engage the Bigo Live community
LOS ANGELES, Nov. 5, 2026 /PRNewswire/ — Bigo Live, the global livestreaming platform, today launched “Home is Just a Stream Away,” a Thanksgiving campaign that brings people together this holiday season and makes sure everyone has the opportunity to enjoy a Thanksgiving meal. Built on the idea that BIGO welcomes everyone to the Thanksgiving table, the campaign turns creator livestreams into a place to gather from Nov. 1 through Thanksgiving Day, Nov. 26, while also funding free holiday meals for local families through Union Station Homeless Services (USHS).
Nearly 25% of households in Los Angeles County face food insecurity, according to USC Dornsife. To help close that gap this Thanksgiving, Bigo Live is donating $15,000 to USHS, the largest social services provider in the San Gabriel Valley, to put a holiday meal on the table for 664 people.
Now in its second year partnering with USHS for the holidays, Bigo Live has guaranteed the full donation, so every meal kit is funded in time for Thanksgiving.
“We’re thrilled to be partnering with Union Station Homeless Services for a second year,” said Lynette Yang, Vice President at Bigo Live. “Knowing that more than 600 people will sit down to a Thanksgiving meal at their own tables because of this partnership is exactly why we do this. Our community shows up for each other every day on Bigo Live, and this season we get to watch that generosity reach families right here in the San Gabriel Valley.”
All month long, creators will host festive streams for anyone who wants company, inviting viewers to share what they’re grateful for. While the Bigo Live community gathers online, 664 individuals will gather around their own tables, making “Home is Just a Stream Away” a campaign that connects people on both sides of the screen.
How It Works
- Thanksgiving livestreams. Creators host themed livestreams all month, sharing details on the partnership and how viewers can help. Thanksgiving-themed Gifts, like the Turkey Gift, cheer the community toward the 664-meal goal.
- Giving Battles. Head-to-head Giving Battles between creators will take place on Nov. 5, 12 and 19, closing with a Thanksgiving Eve finale on Nov. 25. Each Giving Battle opens with the host explaining the cause and how themed Gifts move the community closer to its goal.
- Event page and live tracker. The official event page spotlights the campaign, the growing creator lineup and a real-time donation tracker showing progress toward the 664 meals.
At the Table This Year
The first round of Giving Battles on Thursday, Nov. 5, features three matchups between 2 and 6 p.m. PT, with Barratinc taking on Phoyou, Tinkytalk facing Teddytalksremix and Gmodt going up against SLIMTHICKFINESHH. Lineups for the remaining battles on Nov. 12, 19 and 25 will be announced on the official event page.
“We are excited to work with Bigo Live again this year to help Union Station Homeless Services serve Thanksgiving meals to our community. Their generous commitment of $15,000 will help bring thousands of people together for Thanksgiving and support our goal of feeding 6,000 neighbors,” said Katie Hill, CEO of Union Station Homeless Services. “This partnership is a wonderful way to bring two communities together and make a meaningful impact this holiday season.”
Families in the San Gabriel Valley can pick up a free Thanksgiving meal kit while supplies last with no sign-up required. Anyone in need is welcome, whether they’re looking for a hot Thanksgiving meal or the ingredients to make their own. Each kit feeds a family of up to four and includes a full-size frozen turkey, stuffing, mashed potatoes and gravy, rolls or cornbread, mac and cheese, corn, cranberry sauce, the makings of a green bean casserole and a pie or pie ingredients. Larger households can request multiple kits.
